Kagenza Sakufi Rumongi, Mission Curator (Governance)

Kagenza Rumongi is a skilled communicator and researcher with a background in Civil Society, Business and Politics/Governance. Most recently, he  worked as the Communications Officer at the Permanent Mission of Rwanda to the United Nations in New York, where he also represented Rwanda in the UN Third Committee on Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Affairs and covered the Africa Group portfolio and the HLPF portfolio. Outside of ALU, Kagenza is real estate broker and co-founder of Butterfly Early Childhood Center based in Kigali. Kagenza is passionate about mentorship and runs a youth program called RESET, where he mentors young men by equipping them to live focused and disciplined lives. He is married to Lilian Rutera and is a hands-on father to their two children. Kagenza has a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations.
