Fred is an urban development and planning practitioner. Before joining ALU, he was a lecturer in real estate & urbanism for 10 years. In addition to teaching, he worked on several evaluation research assignments for donor-funded projects in Rwanda. Fred leads mission curators— a team that helps students discover their missions and mentors them throughout their education journey at ALU. Fred holds a doctoral degree in urban development from the Technological University of Dresden (Germany), a master’s degree in global urban development and planning from the University of Manchester (UK), and a bachelor’s degree in real estate management and valuation (Kigali Institute of Science and Technology).
